believe weddings are a social celebration of a very sacred commitment. In addition to lavishing in the magic of the ceremony and the energy imbued by the guests, I also feel honored. This day, and those in it, deserve the highest level of respect. Weddings are a day filled with beauty and love that emerges from the most inward self, so in addition to chronicling this special day, I’m also a participant in a marvelous, memorable moment, and I’m forever greatful for it. My mission is to capture the truth in the most authentic way honestly, joyfully and beautifully.
A wedding is for you, not me. It’s a culmination of moments, and memories that pave the way for a life together. You’ll grow old with thIS FILM. It’s not something to be taken without concern and honor.
This is the basis of how I give. My approach is artistic, yet traditional to keep with the timelessness of your marriage. My goal is to provide you with the perfect combination of memorable elegance and emotional artistry.
With a focus on journalistic style photography, I limit the number of posed and staged photographs and try to, instead, highlight the laughter, tears and passion you and your guests will be experiencing. I understand each couple is unique in terms of style, personality and biography, so I strive to produce images reflective of that individuality. I create these images, but you naturally bring them to life.

FAQ’S
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
My style is really a creative combination. I relish the raw emotion of photojournalism and the artistic look of fine art photography. Carried through with natural lighting, I strive for incredible backgrounds and creating compositions with intention. That said, I’ll never interrupt a moment, nor will I ever re-compose you. I work toward ardent observation with very limited intrusion (and only when desired for a particular artistic vision). 70 percent of my images are completely natural and un-posed.
WE LOVE YOUR STYLE BUT WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SOME TRADITIONAL PORTRAITURE. IS THIS SOMETHING YOU DO?
I do create traditional group portraits at all weddings, since even the most modern brides still want family portrait heirlooms. I do not, thankfully, conduct portrait sessions in a traditional, tiresome way. Instead, in the roughly 30-45 minutes we spend on posed photographs in a day, I approach these moments as easy, fun opportunities to show off your personality, and the family and friends you’ve hand selected to witness your wedding.
DO YOU SHOOT WITH FILM OR DIGITAL?
I am 100 percent digital. The creative latitude digital allows me is beyond compare. When I photograph, I not only shoot for the moment, but we have an immediate, clear vision of what the finished image will look like. Digitally, the possibilities are limitless! As a bonus, your images are delivered much quicker in an online gallery for you to have on your computer or phone!

I have been blessed to have photographed many, many different types of weddings. Specifically, I have documented Catholic, Episcopalian, Non-denominational Christian, and Non-religious ceremonies.
