An Elegant Mid-Summer Wedding - Mikaela & Frasier
Tyler and I jumped in the car to travel 300 miles, looking at the weather app wondering if it was really going to hit 101 degrees that afternoon for Mikaela and Frasier’s outdoor wedding. When we arrived and greeted the bride and groom, we had no doubt that this couple’s excitement for the day wouldn’t be outdone by the heat. What resulted was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve been honored to photograph. Mikaela and Frasier, you two are incredible.
As the day started out, I could quickly see the depth of the relationships Mikaela had with her bridesmaids and assistants. They came by her side from the moment her hair was being styled to when it was time to clean up following the reception. The men and Frasier were no different. His best man was his brother who delivered one of the most sincere toasts I’ve heard in quite some time. The families and friends were just as supportive as well. Most everyone traveled to be there and just by talking to their guests, I could quickly see how many lives Mikaela and Frasier touched.
As the day continued on, we set our attention on the venue, details and small moments that gave personality to the day. Mikaela and Frasier had their ceremony and reception at the Davenport Country Club, and it’s hard to compare such a beautiful place. Everything from the jewelry Mikaela selected to the coordinated table decor had been thought through and carefully crafted to create an amazing setting.
The ceremony was outdoors during a scorcher of a day. Luckily, the heat didn’t take away from the beauty of the ceremony. It was wonderful to hear the gospel from the officiant and witness the promise of Mikaela and Frasier becoming one. They wanted to celebrate not only their union, but how it was possible through Christ. I think it speaks volumes to the character of these two. There was a never-ceasing smile on both of their faces throughout the day and it was just a glimpse into who these two are.
At the end of the day, we jumped in a golf cart to find a beautiful spot to capture the setting sun. It was the perfect ending to an absolutely beautiful day. Thank you both for inviting Tyler and me to have the honor of documenting this wonderful day!
